Pastor Rick Stigile, Senior Pastor of Bethesda Church of God in Powhatan, Virginia, traveled to Colombia to minister for the week of April 14-21, 2010.  Arriving at Cartagena on Wednesday, he met up with missionary Wayne Wozniak.  While visiting this beautiful city on the Caribbean Sea, they ministered in three churches.

On Thursday and Friday evening, Pastor Rick shared two one-hour sessions each night at Pastor Amelia’s church.  Teaching on the Holy Spirit, Pastor Rick explained the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer from the time of His calling to salvation to the experience of revealing the fruit of the Spirit and living in the power of the Spirit.

On Sunday morning, they returned to Pastor Amelia’s church in Cartagena.  Once again, Pastor Rick preached on the baptism of the Holy Spirit with four individuals receiving the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues!

On Monday, the tandem flew back to Bogota and road down to Fusagasuga where the Colombian

Bible Institute is located.  In its first year of ministry, this school is training eight fantastic students to become church planters in their home country.  On Tuesday, Wayne interviewed Pastor Rick regarding his pastoral experiences and his relationships with his wife and children.  Pastor Rick also preached in the chapel service, having a wonderful time with the students and guests that were present.

Wednesday was the time to say, “Goodbye.”  Having taught

biblical principles that produce life-changing experiences, there was a deep sense of satisfaction of having a Kingdom-impacting trip.  Looking forward to returning to his wife and his congregation, Pastor Rick returned home with an anticipation of the next trip to Colombia.
